Okay, I've made up my mind

BO will have my vote in November.

As anyone with half a brain cell knows, W is an evil moron and an utter abomination. Our American Elagabalus. The worst piece of trash.

The very elderly gold digger who wants to succeed that piece of trash has no business being in the White House. As Hillary pointed out, he MUST be defeated.

But I'm not gonna do it because Hillary said it, it's because it's freakin' common sense.

Meanwhile, let the lady do her thing and leave her alone.

Bush is like a double-Elagabalus.  His reign has been twice as long.

Seriously, though, thank you.

Thanks for joining the party! We Democrats have so much in common, we can't let a battle of personalities, backgrounds, and minimal policy differences distract us from that.

Great!  Let's put a Democrat in the White House, and give that Democrat a Democratic Congress to work with!

It's happening now. (2.00 / 1)

Some take Obama's absence from WV and even Oregon as an affront, I see it a little different.

Why go fight Sen. Clinton, what is there to really gain?

I meant while she was there.  I don't see them have many cross dates going forward, if they can avoid it.

Observer5 (2.00 / 3)

I am heartened to see you makes this decision.  I know it sucks a lot to have to change candidates (I was an Edwards supporter originally back in 2007 up until he dropped out, in 2004 I liked Dean) and that switching isn't not fun.

For you viewing pleasure I am adding a AbeMcCain video:

Obama has decent positions and where he is lacking we can pushing towards the proper positions (health-care)

Huzzah! Good on you! (2.00 / 5)

We're going to crush the GOP in November! CRRUUSSSSSHHHHHH!

Seriously, though -- thank you. From one Clinton supporter to another, let me say that you've made the mature decision. A hard decision sometimes, but the right decision.

Even John McCain lusts after teh engels.

Obama supporter who is damn glad Hillary Clinton is a Democrat!!
by hootie4170 on Thu May 15, 2008 at 11:55:02 PM EST

Thumbs up. (2.00 / 1)

My daughter-in-law, a Clinton supporter who realized about a month or so ago that Clinton would not win it, said something to me yesterday that has been bothering me.

She and my son happened to drop over just as I was watching Edwards endorse Obama.  I was so excited, partly just to see John Edwards on the stage.  Anyway, she said 'Well, it's the boys club again.'

She wasn't happy, even though she had already said she would vote Obama in November, she was still upset that Clinton wasn't going to be the nominee.  After they left I started really trying to put myself in her position.

My point, if I have one, is that you might be feeling like my daughter-in-law.  If you are, I may not understand yet but I'm pretty sure I will soon.  Of course, the Dems want to win in November against more of the same crap we've been through for 8 years.  That's a no-brainer.  But I just don't like to see anybody feeling they got a raw deal.

Re: Okay, I've made up my mind (none / 0)

Glad to have you.  The future is a bright point in our lives for the first time, politically anyway, in eight years.

It's good to have you.  Let's go fix this place up.  It needs it.  It needs us.

Re: Okay, I've made up my mind (2.00 / 2)

I always liked fellow republican senator Thad Cochran's evaluation of John McCain.

The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me.

No rational person wants this nut, John McCain, in the white house.  People need to wake up.

Re: Okay, I've made up my mind (2.00 / 4)

I like the stance.

In November support the Dem.

As long as Hillary is still fighting, I fight for her and advocate.  People with strong loyalty are worth having on your side.  Obama supporters can't forget that the more tenacious and outspoken Hillary's supporters are right now, the more power they bring to the party as anti-GOP attack dogs.  Hillary has a lot of brilliant writers, fighters, and thinkers in her camp and we all need to be treated with respect.

2004 swing state margins: PA-2%, OH-2%, IA-1%, WI-0.5%, MI-3%, FL-5%, NM-1%; Alienating 50% of the party is a luxury we can't afford.

Re: Okay, I've made up my mind (none / 0)

Cool, glad to hear it.

Its a process for sure.  I can't know what you are feeling but I have grieved before.

My first political grieving occured in 1980 when Reagan beat Bush Sr.
If only I knew then what I know now, I would have gotten his son drunk and taken incriminating photos.  Shoot, to think I could have prevented the last 7+ years.
